One of the epic centers of mass upset is in Minnesota. I was born there. Spent almost half my life there. My parents were born, lived, and died there. Most of my relatives live there. I know something about Minnesota. Nice people. They have good intentions. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in California, Illinois, and Massachusetts. Similar in most respects.
Who is in charge, who runs the place and has for decades?
The head cop, the attorney general, has been a Democrat for over 50 years. Who do you think works for him? Democrats.
Who is the Governor? A Democrat, and who does he hire? Democrats.
Who are the state’s US Senators? Democrats and who do they hire? People who see and think like they do. Democrats.
Who is the mayor of Minneapolis? Democrat, and who surrounds the mayor? Democrats.
Who hires the police? In Minnesota and Minneapolis? Democrats.
Who trains them? Democrats.
Who protects the police? The Union. All Democrats.
How many times does a policeman have to violate another person’s rights? More than once? In Minnesota, who should you ask? They will be a Democrat.
Who protects the system? The press. Democrats nearly all.
Who runs the schools and the colleges? Democrats.
Who are the teachers? Democrats.
Who voted all these people into power? Democrats. [Dominion is not responsible.]
Who is somehow to blame for all of this?
Of course! Republicans are to blame. It is all Donald Trump’s fault.
Who stands for responsibility and accountability? [Almost no one anywhere.]
The game of good versus bad and good must win is meaningless when ALL SIDES CLAIM TO BE GOOD.

What is the common denominator? Justifying your behavior with your beliefs provides all the cover one needs to be right about who you are and who THEY are not. There are a lot of different gods out there.
Cause and Effect?
Is it possible that there is literally no coherence (think: “ideological consistency”) whatsoever to either the Republican or Democratic parties’ policies? That loyalty to the parties is no different than the tribal loyalty someone feels for, say, the Lakers or the Yankees? I’m not sure if this is the case but I’ve been exposed to this line of thinking recently and I find it at the very least provocative. And at the most quite convincing.
