Two plus months ago, on 29 April, I suffered an incident, a subdural hemorrhage. I was walking the dog when I fell, and someone saw me on the ground and contacted where I lived less than a block away. Clara had not left for work. She came to find me able to do basic commands. I was bleeding, and she took me to the hospital and arranged to have a surgeon work on me less than two hours after the incident. I spent the next three weeks unconscious. When I failed to wake, they increased my breathing, putting a hole in my throat. I was out of the hospital days after I awoke and had my throat closed. The first couple of days were challenging, but I've begun to see significant positive changes in the last four-plus weeks. It will take about three months to get to 90% of where I was and nine months to heal completely. This is not the first time I have changed my behavior. The best part is I lost 30 pounds while unconscious. It's a great time to lose another twenty or so.

Wow...I'm sorry and glad you are okay and mending. I'm reading, "The Book On The Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are" which you recommended to me in a reply to one of my comments. Since then, a friend picked it up off my coffee table and said it was an amazing book!! I've missed you, as I said. People are put in our paths for a reason and you were on my radar so that I could learn something. Blessings!!
Such an adventure, this life is. And you are one of the people whose reflection on experience I most enjoy ... Thanks for living through this mystery ... I send all good vibes and look forward to your further posts. What a difference a day makes. Grateful that Clara was near and doctors ready to go. Miracles and blessings all around ... guess you still have more life to be in and with and through. Thank you Michael for keeping on keeping on ...
